About
What we do and fund
Washington NASA Space Grant Consortium, established in 1989 by NASA, prepares students for the workforce of tomorrow through hands-on education and research. Our consortium is one of 52 consortia nationwide, as part of the National Space Grant Project. In the state of Washington, we work alongside a community of organizations, institutions, and individuals who support our mission, some of which can be found on our affiliates and partners page.

Washington NASA Space Grant Consortium opportunities are open and available to all STEM students. Our commitment stands to broaden and enhance access for all, including but not limited to first-generation college students, women, people of color, and those who wish to pursue careers in STEM fields.
Our mission
Our mission is to enhance higher education opportunities for students seeking to pursue careers in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM); to enrich and improve STEM education at Washington’s diverse pre-college, college, university and community learning centers; and to provide public outreach for NASA missions, and thereby strengthen the future workforce for NASA and our nation.
